Let's defeat diabetes together, one step at a time. We're excited to be joining our friends at Hiking My Feelings for Diabetes Awareness Month (November 1-30) to kick off their "Take a Hike, Diabetes" campaign. They've assembled an incredible team of experts who are committed to helping you live your best life with diabetes. This program introduces you to mindfulness techniques to help reduce stress, gets your body moving via hiking + walking, and teaches you how to eat intuitively.
If you have a history of diabetes in your family and haven’t been diagnosed yet, these techniques can help you keep diabetes at bay. Adding these practices to a diabetes management plan makes it possible to not only survive with this disease, but truly thrive.
This program is the kickoff to their 2021 initiative, and Sydney and Barry (Founders of Hiking My Feelings) have set an ambitious goal to log ONE MILLION MILES for diabetes awareness. To reach this goal, they need our help! Whether you're hiking, walking, running, or tracking steps over the course of the day - every activity counts towards the goal, and you can win some sweet prizes for participating.
